Your teacher is teary right now. We finish school this week, which means I finish teaching. Thanks to you, I leave with a warm heart. The Tin Man has nothing on me. It is my hope that each of you know you are smart, brave, kind, and that you have everything you need to pursue your dreams.
I ask that you write a comment to this post. Write to me and each other. We all need a virtual hug. Tell us all your best memory from this year, so that we can remember it with you. (Ask your parent to send a picture to me so that I can post it for all of us to share.)
I will always be right here on robinsonsisland-rles.com. Please drop a comment from time to time to let me know what you are up to. Spread the word that Mrs. Robinson wants to hear from any Red Level students, teachers, parents, and friends.
Boys and Girls, stay safe!!! Read good books. Be kind to animals. And, if you kiss any frogs be sure to wash your lips afterward.
                                                                      Love,
                                                                      Mrs. Robinson

You have been a PHENOMENAL TEACHER and blessing to so many students!!! You have inspired lots of kids to become life long readers and to never give up when trying to solve problems. Students loved watching and learning about your amphibians.
It was my privilege to teach with you! I wish you a long and happy retirement!

Now you are going to have to teach me how to retire...but, I still won't go shopping with you. {<:] You know me, I will still be a jeans and T-Shirt girl. It has worked for me for 50 years, so why change now.

I’m going to miss you and all the laughter you made extra fun
but my favorite part of the year was the day you brought the
frogs and when we fed the frogs red wrigglers and I was terrified
of frogs when I was little but thanks to you I have a love for all creatures now. I will really miss you❤️❤️

Girl, wasn't that funny? I didn't know what those African Clawed Frogs were going to do. I knew they could be kind of aggressive with food. Once I put a snail in with them. I thought it would help the tank stay clean. Holy moly! They went after him and kicked him around like a soccer ball. I had to rescue him.

Soooo, we had those worms and my curiosity got the best of me. I guess it was kind of gross. But it was kind of funny. Especially whe Big Al had that red worm hanging out of his mouth like red spaghetti. Willow, I am so glad you were in my class this year. I hated it when you were absent. You are delightful.

Melinda,
I am going to be honest here. I loved you as a student, but you could be mischievous and stubborn. I would not have predicted the type of mother you would be. You are kind and patient with your children. I could depend on you to be involved with our class. Both of the boys were a pleasure to teach. I have to say Jake has your streak of mischief, but you taught him to respect me. That is more than any teacher could ask for. You just keep on raising those kids and doing your best by them. You are a wonderful mother.

I loved how silly and fun you made things. I liked watching you feed the frogs crickets. I liked making crafts at Christmas time too. My favorite thing was making the pirate pumpkin for the pumpkin contest and it winning.

Oh my goodness! I’m glad you reminded me about your pumpkin. That was so clever! Brenna, I am so glad you came to Red Level this year and became part of our class. I remember how quiet you were in the beginning. Before long you let us see your sweet, silly side.

Hey Mrs. Robinson. I really miss you and hope you are doing ok. I love you and you are my favorite teacher. My favorite memory is reading James and the Giant Peach and our party that we had. It was really fun. I hope I get to see you again. And guess what. My cat had a kitten.

Kynlee, I have read James and the Giant Peach to a lot of classes and I never get tired of it. Your class was the first class to volunteer their mothers to make homemade peach ice cream! That was so good.

Is the kitten a boy or a girl? Should we have a kitten naming contest? I’m just kidding. Don’t you just love baby animals?

I love you, too, When Chloe would bring you to visit, I said a little prayer that you would be in my class. I just knew you and I would get along well. Take care of your animals!!!

When you grow up and want to propose to a girl, you tell her my second grade teacher always said that I will be a wonderful husband. You are patient, reliable, kind, and a good friend. I’m so glad I got to know you this year.

Weston, I am so glad y’all liked that. You are the only group of kids I ever read those books to. Even though I read the children’s version, those are challenging books. Y’all were great listeners and asked terrific questions. That was when I knew you would be one of my favorite classes.
If your teacher next year doesn’t read adventure books to you, ask your parents or grandparents to read some. I always read a variety of chapter books to my son at bedtime. Ask your mom to buy How to Train Your Dragon and read it to you….maybe even your Dad or Granddad. It is kind of a guy book.
I really liked the time we read after lunch. I had planned to read Charlotte’s Web and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to you. That is one of the things that made me so sad that we couldn’t finish the school year together,

Emmie—my preciousGrandstudent,
Oh gosh, I’m teary again!! You were amazing this year. You grew so much. I want you to know that I have told my oldest sister about you several times. You remind me of her. There are three “girls” in my family, too. Beth is the oldest and she has always loved her two younger sisters and helped look after us. It is so obvious that you love your little sisters like she does.
My sisters and I are old ladies now{<:] and live far away from each other. It is just us three in our family now. The rest of our family is in heaven. Beth is not only my oldest sister…she is my oldest best friend.
I just know your little sisters are going to see you that way. You are so kind and loving. Your parents should be very proud of you. I know I am!

Xander,
You blew me away this year! You honestly tried your best and improved so much. A teacher cannot ask for more. I’m so glad you enjoyed the book time after lunch. That is my favorite time of the school day. If your teacher does not read chapter books, ask your mom or dad to read them to you. Bedtime reading is one of the best times for parents and kids.

You are a good listener and a good friend. Keep up the good work!

Hey Cayden....Mr. Math Whiz!!!
Do you know that you have a very special quality? You are an intrinsic learner. That means you want to push yourself to learn just because it makes you happy. You don't have to be fussed at or rewarded. You don't brag or make people feel bad if they had trouble with something, and you are happy for them when they do well. Not everyone has the gift of loving to learn. I want you to keep your special talent. Be sure your sweet Mama stays in touch with me over the years to tell me what you are up to. You are one of those students that makes me curious about what you will grow up to be. I am so glad you were in my class.

Chelsea, I am so glad you posted. I guess there is a pirate in all of us...I really loved that party, too. I am clearing out Robinson's Island now. I am going to fix a bag for everyone with all of your stuff...folders, crayons, etc. I will also be including your pirate headphones. Y'all did such a great job with those. Plus, it will be a fun little reminder of our year together.

I agree with your sentiment that we all need a good summer! Your picture with the face mask will be our reminder of this time. I pray that this pandemic clears up, and that you never have to go through this again. This is the only one in my lifetime. It has been stressful, hasn't it?

I am so glad you were in my class! You are smart and sweet--and solved my problem of forgetting to plug in the chrome books! Take care of yourself.
