I have loved Dr. Seuss since 1965ish when i was in the first grade. Back in those days we had a reading series called, "Dick, Jane, and Sally." I learned to read, but I thought the stories were boring. Well....I wasn't the only one. Dr. Seuss thought he could write stories that would teach children to read with funny, imaginative stories using rhymes and sight words. He wrote books like, "Green Eggs and Ham," and "The Cat in the Hat."

Those books rocked my world! I worked very hard in my reading group so that I could finish early and read books from Mrs. Star's classroom library. She had Dr. Seuss books. I read and reread those funny books. I still do that every year.

The reason I just listed Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat and the Hat is because those were the first ones he published to help kids read. My personal favorites are the Horton books.

I think Dr. Seuss is awesome for what he did, helping other read, Maybe even making writers because of his books. And he was making WONDERFUL books!!

I hate to say that I'm not a huge Dr. Seuss fan, but then again, I don't remember ever reading them until I started teaching. However, I fell in love with the Nancy Drew series by Carolyn Keene back in 2nd grade with Mrs. Windham and I'm still a fan today.

I love Dr. Suesss' books they are amazing and I haven't read all of them yet . I think Dr. suess is an amazing artist when I read Dr. suess's books it just brings happiness to my heart they are amazing and when , his books they are different from any other artist they are funny and intertaining they aren't like any other books I have read because you don't get bored when you read them and you don't want to stop reading or just throw the book down it is so boring .Dr. Suess inspired me so now I want to be an author when I grow up and think he has inspired many other kids as well because of his great artistic work .

My favorite book that Dr.Suess have published is The Lorax and Cat In The Hat. I personally like some of them but at home we have all of the Dr.Suess books on our shelves. Ive read every book, and some of them get very boring, but some are good.
