It is Monday and the assignment waves are up. Catch them today, students, and you will be able to ride them all week. We want all 16 students to be Super Surfers this week. The longer you wait in the week, the harder it is to complete the ride.

Hey Mrs. Robinson
What all and how much should they do each day on ixl?
One lesson a day on Zearn?
And math facts in a flash on Renaissance?
I am just trying to figure out what is expected of him everyday.

It varies each day on math and science. Be sure and click the subject. Reading today is four stars; math is two. They don't have a science for today. They will not a lesson every day on Zearn. Just read from the very top of the page about math facts..I'm pretty sure Rylan wants to pass two levels this week because he is not on multiplication. I hope I answered your questions. Just reread the assignment page and look to each day to see how many stars to work on for each subject. When he has completed and IXL skill and thing that looks like a peach appears. Let me know if I have further confused you.

On IXL you can click on recommendation and it has 32 skills suggested by your teacher to the right that has the assignments for it also.

Just be sure you are doing the assignments with the yellow stars. Don't choose the picture/problems on the left side of the page, because they may not be the correct objectives. I have broken them down by days, but I don't really care if they do more...as long as they can finish all of the yellow stars for this week. BTW, when the skill is finished, it puts a thing that looks like a peach next to it.

Thank you for all the hard work your putting into making it easier for us. Brenna misses you and all of her friends. Would any moms be interested in doing pen pal letters? I think it would be a fun idea to catch up with friends and work on writing skills :)

I'm glad it is better this week. I really appreciate parent input. It drives me crazy that I can't walk around the room to answer questions and keep them moving. This is actually breaking my heart.

The kids may have forgotten, but we discussed using the blog as a way to keep in touch. They just need to begin the comment with Dear So and So. I'm not sure about letter writing, but I will put a request out there.

I am just about to leave to go sign the final retirement papers. Talk with you later.

Thank you Mrs. Robinson for all you do! I do think this is keeping us busy and keeping our minds off of the sadness of all of this! We are so sad you are retiring and wish that we could have some kind of last class get together with you after this is all over!!!!!

I have been thinking about that also. Maybe even at my house. Although, since we are all at home I notice clutter building up. I could clean up.......but, I would rather play with animals or read. This whole situation has thrown my for a loop. Anyone else having that problem?

Yes the kids would love that it would be like a field trip seeing your animals!!!! I think that sounds great! Landon was so sad that he would miss seeing Windu!!!!

These poor kids! They didn't get a field trip last year, and missed out on an out-of-town one this year. BTW, Robin is working on getting you your refunds.

We will just go ahead and agree that as soon as it is safe, everyone can come to my house. We will get Diana to plan it. I'm just kidding. She has been such a friend and room mother this year.

I have actually been teaching over 30 years. I started in Georgia, so my island is over 30 years old. It is bittersweet taking it down

I started teaching before the internet. Small dry erase boards had just come out. I remember using one with a small group of kids. It blew their minds. One little boy said: It's a miracle, Mrs.. Robinson!! He held up the eraser and said: Do you realize that this thing will never get dirty.

If anyone had told me that my last year would be interrupted by a Pandemic, I would never have believed them,
