This is what I like to see. Kids working without bugging each other. I don't think y'all remember how it was last year when you hardly ever got to work on computers. I had to work to get this many computers into our class. We need it as third graders in order to get ready for testing and meet technology objectives. I would like it if you stopped and remembered what it was like. Be proud of yourselves about how far you have come with computers.
We have had a tough week--I feel like I have had to be tough this week. Yuck! I don't enjoy it when I have to be really strict. I hope we really got the rules across. I can tell that a lot of you are getting it and are trying to act in a more mature manner.
The more you can behave reponsibly, the more activities I can bring in......like quizdom. Quizdom is only fun when everyone pays attention. Otherwise we have to sit and wait for someone to remember to vote. That takes too long! I will watch to see if everyone can follow directions quickly. When we can, we can start working with quizdom. Right now my front row is the group of kids that follow directions the best. That is because they are not always talking. Also, they stop reading books when I start teaching.
Maybe I will play quizdom with them and let the rest of you see what it is like. What do you think?
We have learned a LOT this week about blogging, not hitting, and realizing that when the teacher isn't happy--no one is happy. The only bad thing coming out of the week is that we have to go to the bathroom as an entire group. I think y'all need to work among yourselves to see if you can earn the bathroom pass back.
